This was our quiet little 4th of July celebration. We've got a dog who gets really anxious about the noise of firecrackers, so that keeps us at home most years. After a yummy BBQ dinner and Yogurtland dessert (side note: I found out that they now have dairy-free sorbet which Owen
can have-- best thing that happened all day!) we burned through several boxes of sparklers, much to Owen's delight.
Then on the very last fizzle of the very last sparkler, a little spark sizzled through Owen's pjs and burned his leg in a little spot. (Great parenting, I know.) After that Owen kept saying, "I don't like fireworks!", but I hope he blocks out that memory next year.
